Job Description
 
Performs professional level work establishing work plans for the training and employability of each program participant of the City of Orlando’s Employment and Training Program (RISE); records progress, makes referrals, visits job sites, and interacts with others as needed; and evaluates program. Listens to program participants' concerns and helps/intervenes as required. Follows-up with program participants to ensure they are satisfied with services and that they are progressing in the training process and/or successfully employed. Is supervised by the Employment and Training Social Worker.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate and and two (2) years of experience in a social work setting required. Experience in case management and budgeting required. Working knowledge of area resources for client assistance is required; or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience; or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. Bilingual ability desired.
 
Responsibilities

Updates job seeker records in the RISE Access Database to ensure full, accurate, current. and complete records.

Completes progress notes and other case records; ensures they are maintained in a timely fashion.

Supports development and maintenance of participant records and program documentation in compliance with RISE Program processes.

Supports Social Services Supervisor in family assessment and provides case management services.

Maintains appropriate case files in accordance with HIPAA requirements and guidelines.

Reviews applications with the Career Consultant to make a decision regarding the client's eligibility.

Ensures that all clients apply for available subsidies.

Assists clients in setting goals and identifying their immediate needs.

Provides information, referral, and problem-solving assistance to program’s participant families.

Conducts regular meetings with program participants.

Monitors achievement of service goals.

Is responsible for maintaining the progress of participants who are processing into the program through "Intake" and moving forward in the program to the "Training" phase.

Processes documents for the RISE Program Stipend payments through the City of Orlando's Accounts Payable Department, adhering to established procedures and deadlines.

Prepares documents for participant files, including attendance sheets and progress reports.

Reviews and updates participant invoices in the accounting system (Workday) for financial processing and reporting purposes; follows up on any outstanding invoices as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
