Job Description
|
|
Performs administrative and professional work directing and coordinating grant projects operated under the City of Orlando After-School All-Stars program. This includes daily before school, after school and summer programs, sports activities, educational activities and special events. Primary duties include planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Work is performed under the direction of the After-School All-Stars State Director and is reviewed through meetings, reports submitted, observation, and evaluation of results obtained. The incumbent will be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Youth Development, Recreation, or related field plus supervisory, training, and budget experience and (1) year of experience in the education, recreation, or leisure services field overseeing various activities such as educational programs, youth sports, cultural and therapeutic arts, health and fitness, community centers, et cetera; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Applicant must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and be First Aid/CPR certified.

Performs administrative and supervisory work in planning, coordinating and conducting ASAS’s grant projects.
Ensure proper implementation of grant policies and procedures in the areas of administration, operations, curriculum and finance.
Assist in the preparation and administration of the grant budgets.
Assist in the creation of the overall program design, structure and curriculum taught.
Review, monitor and ensure adherence of program and project goals and objectives.
Manage, analyze and evaluate grant projects and initiate corrective action when needed.
Assist in the management and review of all data collection processes. Responsible for assisting in the completion of formative and summative evaluations with oversight from the agency’s executive director.
Assist in the hiring, training, managing and development of grant project staff to facilitate and support the operations of all program sites.
Maintain and/or ensure accurate and timely reporting of staff program schedules, payroll, purchasing, inventory, and youth attendance.
Act as the primary contact and liaison between ASAS’s grant projects and Orange County Public Schools representatives.
Facilitate and ensure the completion of all grant project contractual obligations with outside agencies.
Develop community resources and seek out new opportunities for program expansion and partnerships.
Assist in the operations and implementation of all ASAS youth development programs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of youth development programs and operations.
Knowledge of state, federal and corporate grant administration.
Knowledge of school district policy, practices and systems.
Ability to plan, direct and review the work of others.
Ability to work with a wide range of program stakeholders (students, staff, school district, community partners).
Excellent computer software skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access), email/electronic calendar and data collection systems.
