Job Description
|
|
Performs administrative and supervisory work in Warehouse operations, with primary responsibility for supervising warehouse and inventory functions for the Water Reclamation Division. Work involves overall responsibility for the receipt and issuance of a variety of materials, supplies, and equipment and the development and maintenance of inventory control systems. Work is performed under the general direction of the Business Manager with considerable independence. Performance is reviewed through frequent inspections, discussions, and analysis of reports submitted.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree and three (3) years administrative/supervisory experience in warehousing, property control, and/or materials management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License and Forklift Certification required. Must pass a criminal background check and polygraph. Workday experience preferred.

Supervises and administers duties in the operations of the Water Reclamation Warehouses.
Supervises and controls the purchases of materials and supplies on an annual average of 2.5 million dollars.
Supervises and controls the procard purchases of materials and supplies in excess of $100,000 per month.
Maintains proper required inventory items to meet 14 cost center managers needs at the most effective cost possible.
Maintains perpetual inventory control files, and coordinates with management to establish proper stock levels and reorder points.
Maintains an inventory level of 1.6 million dollars.
Develops and operates inventory control systems, policies, and procedures for all Water Reclamation assets.
Plans, assigns, trains, supervises and reviews work of subordinates engaged in receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing supplies.
Supervises and participates in initial and annual inventories.
Enters purchasing requisitions for vehicles and supplies for the Division.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures for state and local property disbursement.
Thorough knowledge of warehousing methods, principles, and practices and, inventory maintenance and control, and office procedures.
Thorough knowledge of materials, supplies used by the division.
Considerable knowledge of transportation agencies and shipping methods.
Thorough knowledge of division regulations and procedures affecting special materials and goods, and proper purchasing procedures.
Skilled in the operation of cars, trucks, and forklifts.
Ability to store, issue, and take inventory which involves bending, stooping, reaching and lifting items up to 40lbs.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors and managers.
Ability to establish and maintain accurate recordkeeping systems and purchasing and requisitioning procedures.
Ability to plan, assign, supervise and evaluate the work of subordinates.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
