Job Description
 

Performs safe and efficient delivery of commercial dumpsters and residential carts, assessing and repairing them as needed. Handles administrative tasks such as record keeping, asset inventory management, and customer service using online systems and mobile devices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. 6 months of experience required in the delivery of commercial dumpsters and residential carts, assessing and repairing them.

 
Responsibilities
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Skill in use and care of hand and power tools related to assigned area.

Knowledge of the operation of delivery vehicles used in the collection of commercial dumpsters and residential carts.

Ability to work in and around the following conditions: extreme weather,  insects, excessive noise, noxious odors and fumes, harsh chemical cleaners, hot water, paint, rust dust and jagged steel.

Ability to perform work requiring physical strength and endurance. Some assigned tasks may require lifting up to 50+ pounds.

Ability to walk and work in awkward positions.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others which may require speaking, hearing, and reading.

Skilled in knowledge and use of safety procedures.


Examples of Work Performed

Delivers solid waste containers, both carts and dumpsters, determining whether to replace or repair them on site.

Adheres to daily workload schedules and document progress using Solid Waste digital record-keeping software, including updating task statuses throughout the day and documenting any unfinished work daily.

Breaks down and stacks broken and warranty containers in the cart yard, maintaining yard organization.

Performs manual and/or laboring tasks; uses various hand and power tools as required.

Assists with routine welding as required (gas, arc, and wire feed.)

Maintains updated container inventory numbers, collaborating with supervisors to keep an accurate list of available containers.
