Job Description
 
Under direction, performs professional marketing and public relations work in the area of public assembly management. Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotional programs for multiple facilities, along with concerts and events presented within them. Facilities include the KIA Center, Camping World Stadium, Mennello Museum of American Art, and Harry P. Leu Gardens. Duties require the exercise of considerable initiative and independent judgment concerning the management of event advertising and promotion, dealing with promoters, media outlets, and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or Communications and four (4) years professional and supervisory experience in the areas of public assembly management, marketing development and administration, advertising and promotion programs, and communication strategies; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Arena, convention center, and/or similar public assembly facility experience preferred.
 
Responsibilities
 
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

Plans and develops comprehensive marketing campaigns and promotional programs for multiple public assembly facilities, along with the concerts and events presented within them, to generate sales and establish a broad public awareness.

Plans and develops communication strategies for internal and external audiences and determines method of distribution; issues press releases and media alerts relating to concerts and events along with news concerning multiple public assembly facilities.

Supervises and reviews the work of professional staff engaged in activities including, but not limited to, developing and implementing the marketing plan, promotion and advertising of events, graphic design needs in both print and digital formats, social media strategy and messaging.

Develops and administers advertising budgets for concerts and events at multiple public assembly facilities; determines necessity of expenditures and generates related advertising settlement documentation.

Manages all digital messaging appearing on interior and exterior of Amway Center including lightsticks marquee, bullnose display, LED ribbon boards and flat screen TVs. Schedules rotations and updates messaging as needed. Manages all digital messaging appearing on the adjacent Geico parking garage.

Manages and oversees all day-of-show marketing and media responsibilities including coordination of radio station on-site presence for promotional purposes, meet and greet opportunities with artists and supervision of reviewers, videographers and photographers covering concerts and events.

Directly engages with sports and arts partners and assists with their respective marketing and promotional efforts. Working relationships include Orlando Magic, Orlando Predators, Orlando Solar Bears, Broadway Across America – Orlando, Orlando Ballet and the Orlando Philharmonic, among others.

Coordinates sales efforts with box office personnel, through the development and implementation of marketing plans, public relations, and communication.

Attends meetings of various professional organizations and annual industry conference(s) to learn trends, network and acquire new skills.

Performs other duties as assigned.
