Job Description

|
Performs supervisory work responsible for overseeing the day-to-day guest services operations of Harry P. Leu Gardens. The Leu Gardens Operations Supervisor is an ambassador for welcoming visitors and providing exceptional guest experience. The responsibilities include coordinating with others for the smooth operation of the front-of-house, Historic Leu Gardens Museum, programs, rentals, exhibits, tours, event parking, and traffic/transportation. Addresses any inquiries, complaints, and feedback from visitors and members. Supervises and leads seasonal/temporary employees and volunteer staff, assigning tasks, conducting training, and providing ongoing support and guidance to team members, Work is performed under the direction of the Leu Gardens Executive Director and is reviewed while in progress, observation, meetings, and review of work outcome. May need to be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field, and two (2) years of experience in guest or event services, one (1) year of which must have been in a progressively responsible supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Background check and polygraph required. Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred.

Establishes and implements customer service standards, and best practices of visitor care, enforces visitor guidelines.
Supervises, schedules, coordinates, and reviews the work of subordinate personnel.
Provides staff development and training to ensure employees’ compliance with department goals and expectations.
Conducts staff meetings to keep open communication and promote teamwork.
Walks the Gardens periodically to ensure a safe, secure, and consistent guest experience.
Oversees daily accounts and cash registers using the Gardens point of sale software to ensure strict adherence to all currency handling
procedures.
Maintains and prepares the daily attendance reports for admissions and activities.
Oversees membership sales and processing.
Oversees volunteer recruitment and training.
Oversees the Historic Leu House Museum operations.
As backup and as needed, enter work order requests and track their status.
Attends meetings and training as required.
Responds to emails, phone calls, and general requests from internal and external sources.
Assists in the development and monitoring expenditure of a budget, and purchasing supplies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
