Job Description

|
Performs paraprofessional and administrative work including, but not limited to, assembling training materials, administering the educational reimbursement benefit, maintaining files, running data analysis and reports, researching and assisting with internal training opportunities, and supporting the Training and Development Analyst with other tasks as assigned. The incumbent is expected to exercise discretion and judgment, develop work routines, and complete work with limited supervision. Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed upon completion for accuracy and adherence to policies, procedures, and contracts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree with coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field and two (2) years human resources generalist experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software is required. Prior experience in HR training and development desired.

Supports the Training and Development Analyst in creating, developing, implementing, and conducting training programs for City employees
Assembles training materials
Administers the Educational Reimbursement benefit
Maintains files by running data analysis and reports, researching and assisting with internal training opportunities
Assists City personnel regarding training needs
Markets available training to employees and provides necessary information about upcoming sessions
Assists with managing employee recognition awards
Exercises discretion and judgment when developing work routines and completes work with limited supervision
Supports the Training and Development Analyst with other tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of computerized records maintenance
Skilled in the use of computers (MS Office) and HRIS/HCM systems
Skilled in verbal and written communication
Skilled in conducting presentations using various delivery methods
Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
Ability to design and implement effective training and development
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to assist in gathering and organizing training data
Ability to handle multiple assignments
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
