Job Description
 
Performs professional and technical work supporting the HRIS Administrator in developing and implementing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) that address business needs and support all HR functions. Acts as the backup to the HRIS Administrator. Ensures data integrity, implements system changes and upgrades, and writes reports. Participates in the design, maintenance, and improvement of HRIS solutions in Workday. Manages the completion of necessary testing and documentation. Work is performed under the general direction of the HRIS Administrator and HR Director and performance is reviewed through meetings, reports, and results achieved.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business/Public Administration, or related field plus four (4) years of recent professional-level experience in HRIS project management, implementation, and/or maintenance. Workday Human Capital Management or similar system experience a plus. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel required. Valid Florida Driver's License required.
 
Responsibilities

Supports the strategic direction of the HR Division with respect to Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and related technology. Keeps abreast of technology trends and their potential impact on HR systems and operations.

Develops systems documentation, operating procedures, and training programs; trains members of HR team and other system users on new processes and functionality as needed.

Researches best practices; conducts feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses; and identifies technology solutions that most effectively and efficiently address HR business needs.

Generates queries and reports utilizing appropriate reporting tools; assists in the development of standard and ad-hoc reports to support customer needs; and supports data integrity by running queries and analyzing data.

Maintains employee records in accordance with federal and state laws.

Provides technical support for all HR functions.

Acts as backup for the HRIS Administrator.

Implements system changes and upgrades including testing and documentation.

Participates in the design, maintenance, and improvement of HRIS solutions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of Florida Public Records law.

Extensive Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems and related technology trends.

Knowledge of systems analysis and information systems concepts, techniques, and operating principles.

Knowledge of and thorough understanding of HR functions, data, processes, and applicable regulations.

Knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs.

Skilled in oral and written communications while demonstrating a professional demeanor.

Skilled in the use of a computer and Microsoft Office software including advanced MS Excel.

Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

Ability to evaluate project related issues/problems and develop viable solutions.

Ability to operate personal computer for extended periods of time.

Ability to collect, organize, evaluate data, and develop logical conclusions.

Assists in the evaluation, analysis, design, and maintenance of HRIS; provides recommendations for improvement.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels, vendors, and consultants.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as other areas.

Ability to train others in the use of new systems.
