Job Description
|
|
Performs advanced work in the collection, analysis, monitoring, and reporting of data related to the City of Orlando’s key performance and analytic indicators. Works collaboratively with executive leadership, management, and users, identifying weaknesses, gaps, and/or areas for improvement in the City’s existing ERP system and presenting needs analysis and recommendations to City management. Assists as needed with the design, implementation, testing, and optimization of the City’s ERP system (Workday) business processes, configuration, documentation, and reporting. Writes complex reports and is responsible for system-wide report administration. Oversee the process of collecting, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting data related to the City’s key performance and analytic indicators and guiding research questions. Ensure that members of the City’s workforce have access to accurate, appropriate, and actionable data. Supervises the production and use of performance dashboards. Plans and implements dashboards and research projects on program and employee effectiveness. Makes effective oral presentations to all levels of employees, elected officials, City management, and similar organizations. Serves as a named support contact for the City’s ERP system (Workday). Expected to exercise considerable initiative and judgment in combining a broad scope of professional-level, organizational-effectiveness knowledge, and sophisticated analytical judgment in order to resolve a variety of complex City-wide issues. Work is performed under the general direction of the Workday Administrator through conferences, written reports, and achievement of goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and three (3) or more years experience in operations management, management system design, performance management, process improvement, strategic planning, project management, and/or system administration, to include at least two (2) years experience in a management or supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Workday Report Writer certification highly desired. Functional experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) and financial systems preferred.

Acts as a named support contact and is responsible for communicating system alerts to the affected parties.
Working in conjunction with functional leads, analyze new functionality opportunities and articulate a well defined strategy for configuration, testing, and implementation.
Oversees change management of business processes, security, and new functionality of City’s ERP system.
Develops complex analytical reports for executive management and users of the City’s ERP system.
Functions as Reports Administrator for City’s ERP system.
Troubleshoot system errors and user interface issues finding solutions or reporting bugs to vendor.
Conduct related business research and analysis of value for the City.
Assists with achieving and sustaining “best practices” and the most effective allocation of resources.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analyses of the City’s data and oversee the dissemination and communication of associated deliverables.
Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators and instructional and operational data, and fulfill other data-related requests.
Direct and facilitate projects aligned with the City’s business and performance agenda.
Build and maintain relationships with external research partners and organizations.
Facilitate the adoption and deployment of tools to improve the use of business intelligence and data analytics in support of the City’s organizational goals.
