|
VENUES: Performs professional marketing and diverse graphic design work for Orlando Venues and the events held within its respective facilities. Responsible for the advanced technical work and preparation of various digital and print collateral; management of email database and related distribution of e-cards; coordination and implementation of promotions for concerts and events; development and implementation of occasional group sales efforts including communications, contracting, and ticketing; oversight of marketing department interns including project assignments and evaluation; and coordination of media covering concerts and events at multiple venues. Work is performed under the supervision of the Venues Marketing Division Manager and reviewed through discussions and evaluation of results obtained.
MENNELLO MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART: Performs professional marketing and graphic design work. Handles creation and management of content from the Mennello Museum of American Art and the City of Orlando’s Public Art for various current media platforms. Responsibilities include print media, publications, web maintenance, social media, mass media communications (press release writing and distribution, eNews, and image requests), photography, video production coordination, and logo management. Work is performed under the supervision of the Museum's Executive Director and reviewed through discussions and evaluation of results obtained.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Fine Art, Graphic Design, or related field and minimum of two (2) years experience in media, marketing, and design in a relevant industry; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Experience in media, marketing, and design for a museum or similar public assembly facility preferred.

Performs administrative tasks to ensure functionality of marketing activities including: executing e-mail and other e-marketing campaigns, maintaining email schedule, managing lists within email service provider platform, training and oversight of email content creators from internal departments, proofing and circulating all emails prior to development, measuring effectiveness of campaigns, and modifying campaigns for improved performance.
Works with program staff to ensure all outbound printed and electronic materials (e-newsletters, program and exhibition announcements, rack cards, annual reports, website content, press releases, advertisements, etc.) are clear, effective, consistent with, and serves organizational goals. Identify and prioritize needs for new or revised materials.
Coordinates and designs all printed material for the Mennello Museum exhibitions, programs, events, wall texts and Public Art as necessary.
Designs curatorial materials as requested: e.g., brochures, signage, catalogs.
Creates ad placement schedule with input from Boards and approval from Executive Director.
Creates schedule of production deadlines.
Assists in the management of the Mennello Museum & City of Orlando, Public Art marketing budget; writes and edits press releases; and develops story ideas and marketing plans to increase visibility.
Manages the Mennello Museum website including events, calendar listings, and image updates; and plans and executes a social media program that develops the Mennello Museum interactive presence while keeping patrons informed about programming.
Provides updated content for City of Orlando, Public Art website.
Develops publicity campaigns for events, exhibitions openings, special events, fundraising, and outreach activities.
Create and maintain digital and material archives.
Attends and reports at staff meetings and prepares monthly Board Reports.
Generate copy and provide analytics for grants.
Coordinates promotions and implementation for multiple venues as well as concerts and events.
Coordinates and oversees group sales efforts for concerts and events at multiple venues via communication, contracting and ticketing.
Oversees marketing department interns including the assignment of projects, supervision or work performed and evaluation of results.
Reports sales wraps to industry trade publications on an ongoing basis.
Attends meetings of various professional organizations and annual industry conference(s) to learn trends, network and acquire new skills.
Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with media outlets, City officials and the general public.
