Job Description
|
|
Performs administrative work supervising the operations, programming activities, and maintenance of the Tennis Centre. Responsible for promoting the facility for usage, revenue generation and bookkeeping, supervising the work of facility employees, and facility maintenance and tennis pro instructor contractors. Work is performed under the general direction of the Specialty Site Recreation Program Manager and reviewed through reports, conferences, and results achieved.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field and two (2) years management experience in a tennis facility, including some supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required at time of application. Valid United States Tennis Association Pro certification required. Must pass background check which includes polygraph.

Responsibilities

Identifies the needs of patrons and develops programs to meet these needs.
Screens and accepts reservations for facility usage; serves as liaison with community groups; consults with prospective facility users regarding fees, insurance and related matters.
Collects receipts and deposits for all center and program fees.
Recruits, interviews, trains, and supervises all employees and volunteers at the facility.
Ensures facility and courts are maintained as follows; conducts inspections of buildings, courts, grounds, and equipment for and safety and cleanliness.
Enforces rules and regulations of the facility with the public; updates policies and procedures.
Orders supplies and equipment.
Assists with budget preparation and monitors expenditures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
