Job Description
 
Performs management lead and supervisory responsibilities overseeing site operations and administration of Camping World Stadium and the surrounding complex. Ensures the proper repair and maintenance of the venue, grounds, event production support, and overall presentation of the venue to support and enhance the guest, talent, promoter, and employee experience. Possesses a willingness to passionately deliver the venue to all stakeholders as a premier event destination while preserving and promoting a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Work is performed under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Venues Officer. Work is reviewed through conferences, reports, and the effectiveness of results achieved. Required to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) or more years work experience within a sports and entertainment venue, preferably a sports stadium, to include at least two (2) years management or supervisory experience in the operations and maintenance of an entertainment facility; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required.
 
Responsibilities

Responsible for the fiscal management of Camping World Stadium and surrounding complex, including operating within the approved budget, ensuring maximum resource utilization, and maintaining the venue in a positive financial position.

Manages the event preparation of the complex and accommodations of all licenses.

Coordinates and participates in the planning of events held at stadium and complex to include concession, novelty, vendor booths, equipment locations compliance with departmental and user requirements, television, parking, pre-game and half-time activities practices, rehearsals, and settlements.

Coordinates and oversees the activities of outside contractors (i.e. turf consultant, pest control, alarm monitoring, elevator maintenance, janitorial, landscaping). Assists in coordination of activities of consulting architects and engineers when carrying out their contractual obligations.

Develops work schedules, prioritizes, and assigns work to ensure all promoter requirements are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Coordinates the event personnel labor including tech services, janitorial and facility maintenance.

Schedules, supervises, and reviews the work of services partners in the preparation and cleanup of facilities for events and general maintenance activities.

Inspects and evaluates the condition of facility equipment and grounds to ensure every item is clean, safe, and in proper working order for users as well as the general public.

Coordinates venue wide repairs, landscape maintenance, and related corrective measures with appropriate personnel.

Develops and maintains relationships with all key stakeholders, including Florida Citrus Sports and its members.

Ensures Food & Beverage partner maintains compliance with all related licensing, contracts, and applicable regulations.

Maintains a complete equipment inventory, while requisitioning replacements when needed.

Formulates service contract requirements and participates in the development and evaluation of bid specifications. Provides input regarding contractor performance.

Maintains records relating to attendance, activities performed, equipment usage, etc.; prepares and submits various reports.

Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs and participates in long range planning sessions.

Investigates incidents related to venue operations and recommends appropriate remedy and/or action.

Reviews industry publications and other reference materials to keep abreast of current best practices, set up operations; recommends new supplies and/or methods as necessary to improve operations.

Input into the development and administering of venues annual operating budget to include projections for renovations and other capital expenditures. Monitors and controls expenditures.

Initiates and recommends such personnel actions as hiring, disciplining, counseling, training, promotion, and pay increases.

Performs other duties as assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Thorough knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and materials used in operations and maintenance of a major sports facility.

Knowledge of stadium equipment and related technical systems.

Knowledge of logistical and set-up requirements of sports and various other events.

Knowledge of turf maintenance practices and procedures.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to building maintenance work.

Knowledge of budgeting principles and procedures.

Effective interpersonal skills.

Skilled in the operation of a computer, Microsoft Office software and other related applications.

Ability to safely operate various tools and equipment such as forklift, tractor, buffer, Hi-Reach.

Ability to work a flexible schedule with irregular hours as dictated by events scheduled.
