Job Description

|
Performs professional quality assurance work, which involves responsibilities such as inspecting and reviewing systems, software, processes, projects, and change management to ensure compliance with Information Technology (IT) and City of Orlando regulatory policies, procedures, frameworks, and specifications. Verifies project deliverables to ensure compliance with client and business functional requirements. Works with Architecture and other IT teams to identify needs, gather information, build test plans, consult, and review policies and procedures. Work is performed under the supervision of the Strategy and Architecture Manager and reviewed through observations, reports, conferences, and results obtained.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and five (5) years of IT experience, including experience working in a customer-focused support environment involving technical problem resolution of a multi-tier heterogeneous IT environment covering software and hardware; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must pass police background investigation. Knowledge of IT Service Management, ITIL v3, and TOGAF 9.1 desired.

Investigate and analyze system requirements and technical specifications to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives.
Assist business users in defining User Acceptance Testing, test cases and plans.
Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and project team meetings for quality assurance.
Work with business users, System and Network Administrators, IT Architects and Software Developers to assist in analyzing and creating various required project documentation.
Participate in production implementation verification and being accountable for validating quality of projects covering system, networks, software, and development.
Plan, document, evaluate and track capacity and testing results to ensure system performance.
Communicate and interact with appropriate users and areas on issues, changes and enhancements that may impact data, workflow and / or functionality within Information Technology systems.
Participates in ensuring that assigned projects adhere to agreed-upon functional specification and applicable QA standards.
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product or systems including documentation requirements.
Collaborate and help maintain the information architecture documentation and standards
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience including but not limited to Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Collaborate with peers and the leadership team on testing process improvement ideas, policy and procedure enhancements and opportunities to improve the customer service experience.
Reviews and assists in developing and implementation of IT strategies, frameworks and policies.
Comply with standards or frameworks of the software development life cycle and waterfall model.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure ability to review and write test plans and test cases to communicate bug and issues to developers, administrators and other stakeholders.
Sufficient IT background to understand complex computing technology and business process concepts.
Proven experience in high quality documentation and technical writing of systems and applications.
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in documentation and pictorial examples.
