Job Description

Performs professional, technical, and analytical work in programming, systems analysis, and security for mission-critical City of Orlando systems; directs the planning, implementation, and execution of mission-critical software and security systems; ensures that internal and external customer’s needs analysis is in alignment with City initiatives; works with functional groups within the Technology Management Division and internal City clients to develop short- and long-term system plans; and works with and coordinates activities between vendors and/organizations external to the City as it applies to the mission-critical software and security systems. Work is performed under the general direction of the Security Manager and Systems Integration Manager and is reviewed through reports submitted, observations, and evaluation of technical support ability, reports, and client feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Business Administration, or related field with four (4) or more years experience in systems analysis and programming, including two (2) years project management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver’s License required. Must pass police background investigation.

Programs and analyzes systems and security for City systems.

Designs, develops, documents, and maintains system integrations and components, including application-to-application integrations, services utilizing internal and external APIs, file transfers, and SQL queries.

Directs the planning, implementation, and execution of mission-critical security systems and related software.

Makes sure that customers’ needs align with City initiatives.

Coordinates activities between vendors and City’s security and software.

Creates and supports SSRS reports.

Maintains current .NET in-house build applications.

Assists in training new employees.

Performs other duties as assigned.
