Job Description
 
Performs professional-level work involving the planning, directing, coordinating, and managing the Division's assets. Manages assets to minimize the total cost of owning and operating them. Work involves evaluating the Division's goals and objectives and understanding the business needs to facilitate recommendations in the realm of asset management and all that it entails. Develops processes and procedures to capture information for complex decision making in optimizing the lifespan of assets. Will also include administer the Division's CMMS software. Work is performed under the general direction of the Business Operations Manager with latitude for individual initiative and judgment; performance is reviewed through meetings, reports, and results obtained.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business/Public Administration, or related field and three (3) years experience reporting/analyzing data using Computerized Maintenance Management software and two (2) years supervisory or lead work experience.
 
Responsibilities

Coordinates duties for the operations of asset management.

Ensures accurate asset control for entire Wastewater Division.

Ensures accurate inventory control for the entire Wastewater Division.

Works with property custodians from all the cost centers on proper management of new and old assets.

Develops and implements procedures and standards for management of property.

Develops and manages catalog of all assets.

Supervises and manages the research and implementation of business process improvements to enhance overall divisional effectiveness.

Collects data generated by the Division and utilizes it to create insightful reports that enhance departmental decision-making and operational efficiencies.

Acts as the Division's point of contact for GPS tracking; manages both the software and hardware components to ensure accurate and efficient tracking of assets.

Manages the Division's 360 image capture program to facilitate visual documentation and analysis of assets and process areas.

Manages the Division's security key software to ensure secure access and data protection.

Reports to work during or immediately after natural disasters impacting the City's wastewater collection system or treatment plants; plays a crucial role in administering restoration efforts; and coordinates repair resources and crews to damaged areas, ensuring prompt restoration of the collection system. Additionally, develops a process to accurately record and collect all costs associated with the restoration process following FEMA's format requirements for reimbursement.

May require occasional work during nights and weekends to address software system issues or to perform periodic upgrades that cannot be conducted during regular business hours.
