Job Description
|
|
Performs professional and technical work related to system integration while being a hands-on manager. Manages, plans, develops, and provides technical oversight for software integration and applications between core business software systems, including ERP, police and fire CAD, records management and permitting/code enforcement including facilitating project teams, identifying resources, and establishing project objectives, schedules, and milestones, and developing standards for integration system architecture. The incumbent is responsible for identifying technical obstacles and managing complex troubleshooting efforts within the team, is able to quickly understand business needs and translate these needs into technical solutions. Additionally, the incumbent must understand cloud technologies, lead, mentor and manage integration developers, recognize automation opportunities, and understand common network protocols, system administration, security protocols, awareness of spatial data concepts, database structures and scripting and be a strong application developer. Must be able to think analytically and solve complex problems, to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and to enhance and enforce standards. Assignments are performed under general direction and supervision of the Client Support Services Manager and work is reviewed through audits, meetings, and results obtained.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and four (4) years of integration or software development experience required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Two (2) years of managerial experience required. Recent Cloud integration experience and .Net development experience desired. Must pass police background investigation.

Participates in the development of scopes of work, documents and steps plan for the integration processing.
Uses SQL, database structures, database creation, database transfer (import/export) skills.
Works with QA to develop automated data validation test scenarios, scripts and QA processes.
Defines and documents reasons for the integration, pros and cons for the integration.
Supervises, trains, provides vision (strategic planning).
Provides extensive experience with troubleshooting and analyzing complex problems.
Recommends cloud integration platform as a service solutions.
Manages integration projects through, developing, coordinating and evaluating integration project plans.
Keeps up to date in the latest technologies to be able to lead with a vision.
Assists with developing Integrations and configurations of various products and peripherals, which run on a variety of server operating systems including Microsoft Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.
Installs, configures and tests all integration and software components to the expected revisions and performance standards.
Provides technical training to clients regarding software and systems integration as needed.
Works with other departments during various phases of implementation processes to meet specific project needs related to integration deployment, administrative training and support.
Documents results of service work performed for use by internal staff.
Documents activities and results of work performed by staff.
Assists in training staff members on integration and software procedures and processes.
Provides high quality integration services to the City of Orlando departments.
Provides 24/7 support.
Performs other duties as assigned
