Job Description
|
|
Performs specialized and professional accounting work involving complex and detailed financial analyses for a variety of events and programs administered by Orlando Venues. Work is performed under the direction of the Venues Business Division Manager and reviewed through meetings, analysis of reports submitted, and results of recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and four (4) years professional experience in a large facility performing detailed financial/accounting analyses; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Supervisory experience desired. Professional experience in an entertainment arena or sports arena preferred.

Analyzes Orlando Venues activities/documents and prepares written reports reflecting findings and recommendations.
Analyzes and forecast revenues and expenditures for major programs/projects/and events.
Reconciles records, develops charts and other displays to visually reflect results of analyses.
Uses historical data to conduct trend analysis and provides reports and related information to the Director’s office to assist with the development of new Use Agreement Strategies, ticketing, entertainment facility management and long range strategic planning.
Acts as the Business Operations Manager, in his/her absence, in the administration, supervision of staff, and office management.
Serves as Department liaison for special projects and implementation of forecasting systems.
Prepares management reports, and analyzes and projects key performance indicators.
Prepares accounting entries in the City's accounting records.
Acts as an authorized delegate responsible for signing Orlando Venues Settlement checks and other disbursement payment to Promoters.
Reviews disbursements payments prior to their release.
Coordinates, maintains and participates in the development and implementation of systems and procedures necessary for the collection of data required to support management decisions and strategic analysis.
Analyzes profitability of proposed plans, details the financial impact and feasibility, formulates revenue projections, and maintains statistical records for contract negotiation and administration.
Analyzes and document business functions to make recommendations based on financial analysis that will enhance operations through the use of technological solutions.
Conducts end to end testing of current computer applications and evaluates evolving technologies, in conjunction with the Technology Management Business Analyst, and purchases hardware and software to meet the needs for financial analysis and support of the Orlando Venues Mission.
Determines future market value for products and services provided by Orlando Venues.
Performs other duties as needed to facilitate accomplishment of the Divisions goals and objectives.
