Job Description
|
|
Manages the Camping World Stadium, including all venue grounds within the stadium complex, with a particular emphasis on operations, event production, and guest experience management. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Deputy Chief Venues Officer. Performance is reviewed through conferences and results obtained. Required to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Sports and/or Entertainment, Event Management, Event Operation, Facility Management, Sound and Lighting Systems, or turf management and eight (8) or more years experience in the operations and maintenance of an entertainment venue (MLB, NFL, College, MLS, or comparable sports stadium with a capacity of 15,000), five (5) years of which must have been in a supervisory or management position; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Manages the event preparation of the complex and accommodations of all licenses and users.
Coordinates and participates on planning of events held at stadium and Camping World Stadium, Tinker Field, McCracken Field and surrounding parcels to include concession, novelty, vendor booth, and equipment locations comply with departmental and user requirements such as television, parking, pre-game and half-time activities, practices, rehearsals and settlements, concerts and other sporting events.
Coordinates and oversees the activities of outside contractors (i.e. turf consultant, pest control, alarm monitoring, elevator maintenance, janitorial, landscaping).
Assists in coordination of activities of consulting architects and engineers when carrying out their contractual obligations.
Develops work schedules, prioritizes and assigns work to ensure all promoter and user requirements are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
Coordinates the event personnel labor including security, ticket taking, ushering, tech services, Venue maintenance, parking, transportation, Police Officers and EMTs.
Schedules, supervises and reviews the work of several crews in the preparation and cleanup of Venue for and during events and general maintenance activities.
Inspects and evaluates the condition of Venue equipment and grounds, parking areas and pedestrian pathways to ensure every item is clean, safe, and in proper working order for users as well as general public.
Coordinates repairs, landscape maintenance, building security and related corrective measures with appropriate personnel.
Maintains a complete equipment inventory; requisitions replacements when needed.
Formulates service contract requirements and participates in the development and evaluation of bid specifications.
Provides input regarding contractor performance.
Maintains records relating to attendance, activities performed, equipment usage, etc.; prepares and submits various reports. -Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs and participates in long range planning sessions.
Investigates comments from the public, users, etc. and recommends appropriate action.
Reviews technical papers, cataloges, and other reference materials to keep abreast of current set-up operations; recommends new supplies or equipment and/or methods as necessary to improve operations.
Develops and administers annual operating budget to include projections for renovations and other capital expenditures. Monitors and controls expenditures.
Initiates and recommends such personnel actions as hiring, disciplining, counseling, training, reviews, promotion and pay increases. Performs other related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and materials used in operations and maintenance of a major sports, college or professional sport and entertainment Venue.
Knowledge of stadium equipment and related technical systems.
Knowledge of security and crowd control procedures.
Knowledge of logistical and set-up requirements of sports, concerts, and various other events.
Knowledge of turf maintenance practices and procedures.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to building maintenance work.
Knowledge of budgeting principles and procedures.
Ability to walk for extended periods and/or operate various tools.
Ability to operate equipment such as forklift, tractor, buffer, Hi-Reach.
Ability to prepare reports and maintain records of services provided, payroll and equipment used.
Ability to develop inventory control systems.
Ability to work irregular hours as dictated by events scheduled.
Ability to plan and schedule work and supervise various activities.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with vendors, contractors, promoters, and the general public.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
